Experienced wine-makers

A new winery has been built at Long Rail Gully to crush 300 tonnes of grapes a year from 60 acres of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris.

The winery is fitted out with all new modern equipment, including French-manufactured Vaslin Bucher membrane press (the first of its size in Australia) enabling gentle processing.

A mixture of Old and New World techniques are used to achieve the production of premium wines. Several other wineries also have their wines made at our Long Rail GUlly Winery.

Fruit from Long Rail Gully's closely managed vineyards show strong varietal primary fruit flavours, typical chacters of a cool climate.

Yields are kept to a minimum and fruit is carefully handled inthe winery.

The wines have shown well in their first years of release winning more than 80 national and international medals within four years, and we hope to improve and build on our growing reputation for producing top-quality wines.
