The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the long slow ripening of the grapes. The cool season produced ripe fruit with soft tannins bursting with varietal character.

A selected quality parcel of grapes was cold soaked and fermented in open top stainless steel fermenters. A portion was then left on skins for a total of 5 weeks to soften structure and add body to the finished wine.

The wine was barrel aged for 12 months in a mixture of quality 100% French oak barrels.

Long Rail Gully Cabernet has a highly lifted nose of blackberry and blackcurrant. The 2023 is a rich Cabernet with fine tannins and a soft mouth filling palate.
