Careful vineyard management and a cool long ripening period produced exceptional quality fruit from very low yielding vines. The wine was cold soaked for 4 days and then fermented in stainless steel with gentle cap management.

Secondary fermentation was carried out in barrel for enhanced oak integration in the finished wine. The wine was then aged for one year in all quality French oak (30% New).

This is a great example of cool climate Pinot Noir, it is a savoury wine with a lifted aroma of strawberry and cherry fruit with a hint of gaminess.

The palate is rich and light to medium bodied with excellent structure and length.

A very cool vintage produced exceptional quality fruit, which was fermented in open fermenters with careful cap management after a pre-fermentation cold soak. A portion of the wine was put through a long post ferment maceration creating great colour and complexity.

The wine was barrel aged for one year in a mixture of different French oak barrels (30% new).

On the nose the wine displays distinctive spice, black pepper and red berry fruits.

The palate is medium weight, typical of a cool climate Shiraz.
 

It is a well balanced wine with great length and character.

2013 was a great year for growing grapes, which has resulted in great varietal wines. Beautifully ripe fruit was whole bunch pressed and then slowly cool fermented at 13'C to retain fruit aroma and character.

The flavour rich fruit produced a wine with a lifted nose of confectionary, lime and citrus.

The palate is fresh and lively with a classic crisp refreshing finish typical of good cool climate Riesling.

The 2013 vintage has produced some outstanding varietal wines, with great expression of character.

Flavoursome ripe fruit was fermented at low temperature to retain freshness and fruit character.

A small portion was finished with barrel fermentation and lees aged to add weight and complexity to the palate.

The 2013 Pinot Gris is a complex wine with soft luscious palate showing plenty of peach and pear flavours.

A dry cool year combined with low cropping levels produced exceptional quality fruit.

The fruit was hand picked and gently destemmed and crushed before being fermented in open top temperature controlled fermenters. The wine underwent secondary fermentation in barrel and was then barrel aged for one year in French oak barrels.

On the nose the wine shows rich plum, currant and fruitcake aromas, which follow through to the palate. The medium weight palate is well balanced and velvety in texture. The wine has a very long smooth finish, which makes for a very supple, easy to drink wine.

The Merlot has developed nicely with bottle age. Drink now or be rewarded with careful cellaring.

A cool season allowed for slow ripening to produce ripe fruit with soft tannins bursting with varietal character. A selected quality parcel of perfectly ripe fruit was cold soaked and fermented in open top stainless steel fermenters until dry and then left on skins for a total of 5 weeks to soften structure and add body to the finished wine.

The wine was then barrel aged for 10 months in a mixture of quality 100% French oak barrels.

The wine has a highly lifted nose of blackberry and blackcurrant. The 2011 is a rich Cabernet with fine tannins and a soft mouth filling palate.

2012 was a great year for grape growing, producing great varietal wines.

A portion of Shiraz fruit was handpicked early and slowly cool fermented to retain fruit aroma and character.

The Shiraz fruit produced a wine with a lifted nose of red berries, rose petal and a hint of Shiraz spice.

The palate is fresh and crisp, well balanced and not too sweet. It has you looking for another glass.

The fruit for the Long Rail Gully Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from a very cool vineyard site in the Orange district sitting at almost 1000m above sea level.
